The latest veterans health care scandal news is not the type of veterans news we ever like to share. It is especially not the type of VA health care news we want to report a couple of days before Veterans Day 2015.
In the Fox News video below, reporter Leland Vittert shares the disturbing news that all signs point to the veterans health care scandal expanding and growing instead of shrinking and disappearing.
How the Veterans Health Care Scandal is Expanding
Vittert’s report shares “an unbelievable pattern of mistakes by VA officials.” What’s this latest VA health care scandal? According to the Fox News veterans news video , there are a growing number of cases of the Department of Veterans Affairs declaring veterans dead and discontinuing their health care benefits – even though these veterans are very much alive.
VA Mistakes End Veterans Health Care
The above news of the veterans health care scandal expanding with a growing number of instances the Department of Veterans Affairs mistakenly claiming veterans deceased is really not news to us here at Built USA. In fact, we shared the story of disabled veteran Robert Pressley who was declared dead by the VA when he was very much alive.
A disabled Army veteran, who is very much alive, was declared dead by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Department. The disabled Army veteran from Wilmington, North Carolina also received two checks to help pay for funeral costs. Now, Robert Pressley faces an uphill battle to prove to the Department of Veterans Affairs that he is alive so he can get the benefits he relies on for him and his family to survive as he has now lost his disability payment, VA healthcare and other medical insurance.
Pressley shares his story in the interview below.
