If Listed As A Country, Michigan Would Rank 16th Overall In Rio Olympics

Michael Phelps
The next time you look up the word talent, Michigan should show up in that list. They were able to accomplish more in Rio compared to other countries. As the games concluded, the US secured the top spot in medal tallies raking in a total of 121 medals. 46 of them were gold.

If Michigan was a country, they would have ranked 16th.

This number considers the athletes that have ties to Michigan and not just natives and locals. As a group, they would be getting 17 medals. 10 of these would be gold.

Here they are in no particular order of greatness and awesomeness.
