An ISIS executioner was found beheaded in eastern Syria. The terrorist was a top figure in the Islamic State’s self-declared police force – the group who carries out beheadings for ISIS. It is not clear who carried out the decapitation, but whoever did left a strong message behind.
The Islamic State terrorist’s body was mutilated and showed signs of torture. He had a cigarette stuffed in his mouth and his killers left a note pinned to his head. That note read, “This is evil, you Sheikh.” His corpse was found near a power plant in al-Mayadeen city in the Deir-al-Zor province.

Who Beheaded ISIS Executioner?
Was the cigarette left behind in the ISIS executioner a sign that he was beheaded by other Islamic State terrorists? Or, was the man known as the deputy ’emir’ of the al-Hesbah force in a providence in Syria killed by rebel fighters who left the cigarette and note to throw off suspicion?
The terrorist groups has banned cigarette smoking in public and they are known for killing their own members for violating their rules. In another twist, this beheading came one day after photos emerged of what appears to show ISIS soldiers executing a group of Iraqi policemen.
The head of a British-based Observatory for Human Rights, who believed this was the first time that an al-Hesbah member had been beheaded, told reporters, “We do not know whether Islamic State killed him or whether it was local people or other fighters. Either way it is important, because he was a very important man.”
While this may the first, let’s hope it is not the last time we read news about an ISIS official found dead and beheaded. What do you think?
