An army soldier who was killed in action in Iraq lives on through the kick of soccer balls by children around the globe. The following video tells the story of U.S. Army soldier Nick Madaras and how his simple act of kindness sparked a movement, inspired the Kick for Nick organization and changed children’s lives around the world.
Unfortunately, Nick was killed by an IED before he was ever able to see his mission to deliver soccer balls to needy children in Iraq completed. His parents decided to fulfill his gesture of good will and have now taken it one step further delivering more than 45,000 soccer balls globally.
This is the kind of military news story, unfortunately, that often gets overlooked, but it is one we are more than happy to share. Enjoy the video!
